Walnut Creek Kitchen Remodel

A kitchen and dining remodel in Walnut Creek, designed by Mahya Salehi Studio. The clients cook for family and have friends over often, so the new layout opens the kitchen into the dining area, with a built-in bench under the window and a bar along one wall.

Crafted Cabinet & Millwork built the rift-sawn white oak cabinetry. Pocket doors on the upper run slide back to a lit appliance garage, so the coffee machine stays off the counter. The end of the island is wrapped in stone with an open oak cubby set into it.

The counters are Bianco marble from IRG Stone Boutique, with mitered edges, a waterfall end and a full-height slab behind the sink. The bar is its own niche in a darker veined stone, with floating shelves lit from behind.
