Berkeley ADU

A 415-square-foot studio in Berkeley with a tall wall of windows and clerestories under a vaulted ceiling. A black steel canopy covers the French doors at the entry.

The bathroom is set up for accessibility: a curbless shower with a linear drain, a fold-down bench and grab bars, all in a pale blue glazed square tile. The vanity is navy with brass pulls.

The kitchen pairs white shaker cabinets with sage-green stacked tile and a brass faucet, and there's a built-in bench for a breakfast nook. Outside, the side door is painted mustard yellow against the gray stucco.
